Dear Students and Parents,
I have enjoyed having individual visits with almost every student in the junior class. Thank you students for giving up class time to spend some time looking at big picture pieces like:
1) graduation-making sure you are on track and taking care of all your subject requirements
2) college plans-listening to your ideas about 4 year and 2 year colleges or institutions and making plans for this year, next year and beyond.
3) career plans and possibilities-talking about careers and the training needed for various jobs and making concrete plans with senior classes, possible majors and other ideas to move forward.
We have spent some time on Naviance building potential college and career lists. I encourage students to spend more time researching and developing those lists.
Many students are ready to sign up for SATs and ACTs. I handed out schedules of all available testing dates between now and next December of their senior year. I am also attaching the list that I gave students.
Parents, I am so impressed by the amazing young people that I have the privilege of working with each day. Your students are surviving their junior year with style. They are working hard and developing solid plans for their future. Enjoy the Thanksgiving Break.
