Hope this warm weather is treating you all well & allowing a bit of respite from the previous storms (for now). Just a few updates for you all:
Mon 3/20. College Fair: Students please check out the College Fair this Monday on the lawn. This is a great opportunity for you all to start gathering information and thinking about your post-graduation options. There will even be a raffle!
Tues. 3/21. Talent Show Auditions: Any interested students who want to try out for the Talent Show, please stop by the Counseling Office this week. Auditions will be held after school on Tuesday 3/21. You must be able to rehearse after school 3/29 and 3/30 in order to be in the Talent Show. The Talent show is on Friday March 31 at 7pm in the PAC. If you have any questions please contact Dan Lingenfelter at firstname.lastname@example.org
Zero Period: The most applicable zero period for most students next year will be World History. As a friendly reminder, zero periods meet every day from 7:00- 7:50am. Students interested in a zero period should have received a zero period contract form. This form must be signed and returned to me. If I am not in my office, please leave it in my basket on the door. I have attached a copy of the form in the event the form never made it home.
AOS: Starting next week, parents, if your student has been assigned AOS, you should receive an email reminding you of your student’s obligations. AOS is assigned to those students who are receiving a failing grade in one or more classes.
Failing Grade Letter: Parents if your student is failing, or in danger of failing, a class you should have received a letter in the mail from the principal. Please be checking Schoology consistently and stay in communication with teachers.
Individual Meetings: I will be meeting with freshmen individually throughout the next few weeks during their electives to verify course requests and answer any questions that they might have regarding next year and the rest of high school. Students, if you already know you will be wanting to change any of your course requests please email me. I can also meet with parents & their student by request only – please contact Jeannette Lange (extension 111 or email@example.com) to set up an appointment.
ASB: Any interested students in joining ASB next year please let me know. You should also come pick up an ASB application packet from the Counseling Office if you have not already received one.
Keep up the great work, we are closing in on Spring Break!
