The English department at San Lorenzo Valley High School offers a variety of courses focusing on literature and rhetoric. We are committed to helping students develop academic reading and writing skills. All English courses are year-long and taught by highly qualified, instructors who are passionate about teaching and share a love of literature.
Program Features
We offer 11th grade AP Language and Composition and 12th grade AP Literature, as well as optional honors sections at the 9th and 10th grade levels. We also offer a rhetoric based Expository Reading and Writing Course (ERWC), and Modern Literature which emphasizes creative writing, at the 12th grade level.
