Counselors will meet with all juniors in the spring semester to discuss graduation status, senior year course requests, and plans after high school. 

 

TIPS FOR JUNIORS

 

FALL SEMESTER

SPRING SEMESTER 

  • Maintain good grades. Junior grades are tied directly to your college applications and your scholarships
  • Prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT
  • Research colleges and careers that fit your interests
  • Visit college campuses and attend college fairs 
  • Fall finals are in December - study, study, study!
  • Review course catalog to select senior classes - talk to friends, seniors, teachers, academic counselors, etc. Consider AP and college courses.
  • Start researching colleges and attend college visits in the College and Career Center
  • Visit college campuses in person or virtually
  • Research jobs and internships for the summer
  • Register for summer school if you need credit recovery
