High School Student Directed Show: The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood

The SLV Theatre Department is proud to present The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood, a comedic trip through Sherwood Forest written by Mary Lynn Dobson. The play is directed by SLV seniors Twain Bayless and Sarah Maloney.
Our hero, Robin, with the help of a wannabe Merry Man simply known as the Town's Guy, turns this classic legendary tale into a hilarious jaunt through Sherwood Forest with surprises at every turn. Our charming-but-egotistical hero leads his band of familiar wood-dwellers as they battle the delectably evil Prince John and his haughty henchman, the Sheriff of Nottingham. Robin's one and only love, the Lady Marian, remains true to her champion as she assists his crusade by wishing the prince and sheriff a rash of various skin afflictions. Incredibly, our model good guy Robin discovers that even heroes have a few important life lessons to learn.
Playing at the SLV PAC October 3 through October 12. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m. There is a special Community Night performance on Thursday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. when all tickets are $10 each. A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase at the door 1-hour prior to showtime. Buy tickets here!

The SLV Theatre Boosters is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that supports the continuing success of the SLVHS & SLVMS theatre programs. Through our volunteers, we promote and staff productions and events, conduct fundraising, and offer theatre-related enrichment experiences and scholarships. We are mostly the parents of drama students, but anyone with a desire to help either great program is welcome! Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month in SLVHS Room F2 at 6:30pm.
Need to be reimbursed for a Theatre Booster Purchase? Please fill out our REIMBURSEMENT form.
INTERESTED IN BECOMING AN OFFICER?
We have a list of responsibilities for each position. Please email [email protected] for more information. Depending on the number of officers and interest, responsibilities may change. Nominations for Officer positions occur in the Spring each year, with transition at the June meeting. The first official meeting of the new officer core occurs in August.
