Principal's Message

from Jeff Calden

COVID

This new variant, combined with the cold weather and coming back from vacation, has caused a larger number of positive cases on campus than we have previously experienced. We will continue to test all exposures in order to keep the campus as safe as possible as we move forward.  Please continue to be vigilant about wearing your mask inside, and consider keeping yourself even more protected by wearing your mask outside when around other people.

If you currently have any symptoms, even minor ones, please get a test ASAP and do not come to school. Please call the attendance line to let us know, and do your best to get tested at the County Office of Education or any other free local testing site, such as CVS, Walgreens, Mountain Community Resources. There is a list of Testing Resources in this email.

We want to be smart and vigilant as we move forward. If you are sick or showing symptoms, stay home from school, get tested, and let us know what your situation is so we can support you.  Students coming to school with symptoms will create more positive cases on our campus and nobody wants that.

Symptoms of COVID include: Fever or chills, Cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Nausea or vomiting, Diarrhea, Trouble breathing, Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.

Thank you in advance for supporting the safety of our students, staff, families, and the valley community.
