Parents & Students-
I apologize for blowing up your inbox lately, but this is usually a critical research and investigative time for juniors and I want to ensure you have as much information as possible to prepare for the fall.
Cabrillo College's Fall and Summer Schedule is released. Please note that all summer school classes will be an online platform. Fall classes are expected to be seat- based and online just like usual. If you are interested in taking either a summer or fall course, please watch this video from the lovely Leslie Burns. I attached the Suggested Courses for High School Students if you want to see what Cabrillo recommends for high school students. Please see attached for the Dual Enrollment Form.
Paying for AP Tests. SLVHS is now accepting payment for AP Exams. Students, you should log in to your College Board account, see how many tests you are taking and multiply that by $94. If you are part of the free/reduced lunch program, your cost is $53/test. Send a check made out to SLVHS, and put your (student's) first and last name in the memo line. Address the envelope to SLVHS Attn: Annina Hausmann. Payment is due to SLV High School by May 4th.
Virtual College Fair. Usually around this time of year SLVHS holds its own college fair, though for obvious reasons it was cancelled this spring. However, WACAC will be putting on a digital college fair, which is a great way to learn more about specific colleges and the college app process (especially after revisiting your College Super Match activity earlier this week). For more information about the event and to register go here.
College Essay Guy. Check out his upcoming events like this webinar series and his college application essay writing boot camp.
Please reach out if you need anything. Hope you are well.
