Important Summer Dates, Information on 25-26 School Registration, Summer Work Permits and Registering for the Fall SAT at SLVHS

Important Dates:

School Registration for 2025-26 is Now Open!

Each year, all families must update their school registration in Powerschool

Sites are not able to load your family information and your student's schedule into Powerschool until you register for 2025-26

An email will be sent to you TOMORROW - Monday May 12, 2025 - from PowerSchool Enrollment. Please follow the directions below to complete your registration form.

The PowerSchool registration is now open for 2025-2026 school year, please follow these instructions below to complete the online forms.

We need your up-to-date contact preferences, student health data, parent/student permissions, as well as other important information verified or completed within one week of receipt or prior to the first day of school whichever is first. Having all the necessary information will help us with student placement and scheduling. Your timely input and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Directions to follow:

1. Please find in your email an email from PowerSchool Enrollment

2. Title of the email will read : SLVUSD POWERSCHOOL ENROLLMENT (ONLINE REGISTRATION)

3. Locate the yellow box on the email. In the yellow box will be the link for you to click to complete the online registration form.

4. You will use your student's date of birth to access the form, once you click the link in the yellow box.

5. Please use Google Chrome or a Firefox browser to complete the form

6. You will receive one email for each student you have returning to SLVUSD. The registration process also needs to be completed for each student returning to SLVUSD.

Summer Work Permit Instructions

If you are needing a work permit, please see the following steps, please pay attention to the dates mentioned as this will determine where you go to pick up or drop off a work permit application.

Step One: Apply for and be offered a Job. You'll need the work permit -after- this step and you must be at or above the age of 14 to work as a minor.

Step Two: Print out, then fill out the attached form and have both a parent and employer sign it.

Step Three: You will need to then take this completed form visit either the Counseling Office or District Office depending on the following dates, please be sure to read the details.

Important: The Student needs to be present when going either to the Counseling Office or District Office.

Up Till June 24th- You will need to contact Sara Sizemore at [email protected] or call at 831-335-4721 ext. 216 to make arrangements to pick up/complete a work permit application at the SLVHS Counseling Office. Please be sure to contact Sara Sizemore before coming to the Counseling Office so that she can let you know the office hours, as they can change. Please note that the Counseling Office is closed on Fridays.

From June 24th - July 21st- You will need to contact Julie Walker at [email protected] or call at 831 336-8852 to make arrangements to pick up/complete a work permit application at the SLV District Office (325 Marion Ave, Ben Lomond CA, 95005). Please be sure to contact Julie Walker before going to the District Office so that she can let you know the office hours, as they can change. Please note that the District Office is closed on Fridays.

After July 21st- You will need to contact Charlotte Achen at [email protected] or call at 831-335-4721 ext. 215 to make arrangements to pick up/complete a work permit application at the SLVHS Counseling Office. Please be sure to contact Charlotte Achen before coming to the Counseling Office so that she can let you know the office hours, as they can change.

UPDATE: REGISTRATION FOR THE SAT TEST AT SLVHS IS NOW OPEN!!!

THIS REGISTRATION FOR THE SEPTEMBER 13TH SAT TEST AT SLV HIGH IS CURRENTLY OPEN ONLY TO SLVHS STUDENTS

SIGN UP NOW TO SECURE YOUR SPOT! (note - we are working with College Board to get registration open to Coast Redwood Students)

How to Register: Students can register online at: SAT Dates and Deadlines – SAT Suite | College Board
Click on REGISTER for September 13th. The Student will need to sign in with their College Board Account.

There is also an option on that page to create a College Board Account if the Student does not have one yet.

If there are issues with signing in, the Student should work with their academic counselor to get signed up.

Important Announcement: SAT Test Will be Offered On-Site at San Lorenzo Valley High School on September 13^th!

We are pleased to announce that San Lorenzo Valley High School will be offering the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) on-site for our students next year.

This is a valuable opportunity for students who are planning to apply to colleges and universities that require or recommend SAT scores as part of the admissions process.

The best part is that from June 1^st to July 31^st, the SAT at SLV will only be open to SLV Students! On August 1^st, it will become open to the public. So get yourself signed up early!

SAT Test Details:

· Test Date: September 13^th, 2025

· Time: 8:00 am

· Location: San Lorenzo Valley High School gym

· Registration Deadline: June 1 to July 31^st (SLV ONLY) August 1 (Open to Public)

Students must register in advance to secure a spot for the test. We encourage all juniors and seniors to consider taking the SAT, especially those planning to apply to post-secondary institutions.
