SLVHS does not issue tickets for Graduation and there is no limit on the number of guests.
We will allow families to sit on the turf field in designated areas - either on blankets, on the turf, or with sled-chairs only.
No Chair Legs or Canopies on the Field.
People may also use the bleachers or put up pop-ups on either side of the bleachers in designated areas.
WHAT TO WEAR FOR GRADUATION. Graduates MUST wear a red cap and gown or a black cap and gown. You may decorate your cap but not your gown. During the ceremony, only school-awarded or sponsored medals, cords and pins may be worn. A floral lei is also permitted. Gowns must be zipped up from the time we start walking to the field until the graduation ceremony is over. If you have a question about wearing something for the ceremony, ask Mr. Calden.
Wedge shoes are OK, but NO HEELS due to damage they cause to our turf field
Email questions about attire in advance to Jeff Calden at [email protected]

What can I bring? What should I NOT bring?
PLEASE DO NOT BRING THESE THINGS!
Air Horns and Silly String:
Air Horns can hurt the ears of others and Silly String can cause damage to the turf field and is a giant mess that someone else has to clean up.
Shoes with heels on the Track or Turf:
Graduates and Families - heels can damage the track and the turf field. Please wear flats or wedge heels. No exceptions.
REMEMBER -- ALL SCHOOL RULES ARE IN EFFECT!
Please do not attempt to take anything with you under your gown.
What might seem like fun at the time could prove to be very embarrassing if we have to pull you out of the procession at the last minute.
You are all representing your very proud families on that day.

Names on Diplomas
I want to share with our Seniors the fact that the name on your diploma will be your legal name.
The diploma is a legal document and something we cannot change. If you have legally changed your name, and brought in the paperwork, then that name should be on your diploma.
If you legally changed your name and didn't bring the paperwork to the school office, then it will not be correct because we didn't know. Please bring any changes to Katrina Mount in the counseling office.
Finally, if you use a different name than your legal name, the choice of how your name is read when you get your diploma is yours.
It is important for us to make sure that Seniors understand this situation. We will go over this when we get to reading the names in Grad Rehearsals.
Graduation will be Live Streamed
Access begins at 9:45 am. Graduation begins at 10:00 am. Getting to it online is a little bit complicated, but here's how to do it:
2. You should see this heading: San Lorenzo Valley High School vs. Santa Cruz High School Mens Varsity Football
Yes - that is really weird. As we normally only use this website for sports, we had to use a sport to make it work.
3. The Screen Looks like this: It will show: "This livestream is scheduled for June 5, at 9:45." After 9:45, it should be Live.
4. In the upper left-hand corner - Click on the small arrow to the left of the word "San"
5. That should take you to the livestream - where you can make the screen go full screen by putting your mouse arrow on the screen, then clicking the small box in the bottom right hand corner.
6. The livestream should start on its own at 9:45 am.
You can practice getting there before the morning of the big day by following the instructions below.
