Please Read: State CAASPP Testing for Juniors Only in Math and English Will Occur at the End of March
SLVHS JUNIORS will take this year's State Math and English Tests Online at Home this year.
SLVHS will proctor the Math test on Tuesday, March 30th and the English Test on Wednesday, March 31st.
State tests taken at home MUST be taken on a school-issued Chromebook due to the test being given on an installed Secure Browser.
All Juniors who DO NOT already have a school-issued Chromebook will have to borrow one from the school to take the Test at home.
We will be distributing Chromebooks to students the week of March 22 to March 26 from the HS library. Details to follow.
These Chromebooks will need to be turned back in to school immediately after testing so another SLV school can use them for testing.
Students who take the test and meet standards can earn a GRADE BUMP on their 2nd semester Math and/or English Final Grades.
This grade bump will be applied to the Semester Two grade when we receive the test results in August.
Again, state tests taken at home MUST be taken on a school-issued Chromebook due to the test being given on an installed Secure Browser.
Parents can choose to opt their child out of state testing. To do so, please email our Dean of Students, Dave Poetzinger at [email protected].
If you have any questions regarding testing, please call the High School Administration Office at 335-4425.

Middle School and High Schools can only open when the county is in the Red Tier with 5 to 7 cases per 100,000 population.

Informational Q & A Meeting for Parents & Families with the Superintendent and the Principal online on Wednesday, March 24th at 5:00 pm.
This will be an opportunity to get information and ask questions before your enrollment form is due.
This meeting is designed to provide families with more detail about how the different facets of this Hybrid model will work in real life.
It should also give families the information they need before deciding whether to come back to school part-time or stay online only.
The meeting will be recorded and posted on the school website for those who cannot attend.
Parents may now choose either SLV Online (only) or SLV Live Hybrid (online & in-person).
SLVHS Enrollment Forms are DUE on March 26th - You can wait until after the Q&A meeting on March 24th if you are undecided.

Striving to keep the arts alive for our students and to give them a collaborative and therapeutic space for creative expression, we have brought our shows online this year. Like many theatre programs, SLVHS has suffered a huge hit to our budget due to the inability to sell tickets to live performances during these Covid times. Please consider donating. We need your help and, if you are able, any donation during this time will be instrumental in our efforts to continue to support our students' creative endeavors.
DONATIONS GRATEFULLY ACCEPTED!
