Auditions for SLVHS Student-Directed Play are Coming Soon!
Auditions for this year's student-directed play The Bold, the Young, and the Murdered, directed by Asher Trageser and Jamie McLean, will be held after classes a few weeks after school has begun. If you wish to audition, please bring prepared a 1 - 2 minute monologue (comedic or dramatic). It does not need to be memorized, but you must be able to perform without reading directly off of any paper/notes.
About the Play:
The Bold and the Young is a soap opera that has been running for over 50 years. With directors constantly being replaced, actors who think they can change the script, and an episode on every conceivable plotline, the show has begun to drop in ratings and the producer gives them an ultimatum: finish a quality episode tonight or risk being taken off the air. During their night of frantically filming while being locked in the studio, cast and crew begin dropping dead and they must decide whether to continue filming or find out who is behind the murders in a comedic, Clue-esque, “whodunnit” murder mystery."

While positive cases in our county have been on an upswing, we are all hoping that Covid becomes a smaller issue as we move forward with this new school year.

Schools will again be following the guidance and direction of County Public Health and the County Office of Education.

There is no requirement regarding vaccination at school for students or staff.

However, adult volunteers working with students must be vaccinated for COVID. This only applies to someone working with or around students in a voluntary capacity. This applies to adults volunteering in a classroom, a field trip, a sporting event, or school activity where students are present. This does not apply to adults coming as a parent or family member to a meeting with staff, as part of a parent booster club meeting, or as a spectator at an event.

Use of SLV Campus Facilities

Now that summer is officially over, please be aware that there is no public use of school facilities from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm on School Days.

This is for all facilities, including the pool, the tennis courts, the track and field, the baseball fields, and basketball courts.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our campus safe.

Students need to bring charged Chromebooks to school each day.

Students who wish to check out a loaner Chromebook for the year may do so during Cougar Day or at the SLVHS Library.
