I hope your family has a happy and peaceful week together.

SLVHS Food Drive and Teen Gift Drive

SLVHS is hosting our annual Food Drive.  With the help of our SLVHS Chapters of Associated Student Body, California Scholarship Federation, National Honor Society, and Rotary Interact, we are working collaboratively to support our community.

How you can help:

 - Donate Non-Perishable Foods - Students are encouraged to bring foods to their 4th period classes. High School Offices are also donation sites.

If you would like to pick up a bag with suggested donations, these are also in the counseling office!

All Food Donations need to be brought in before December 12th.

 - Teen Gift Drive - While food is a high priority, Valley Churches is also in need of gifts for teens  (new / unwrapped), if you'd like to donate a

gift, bring these to the counseling office before December 3rd.  Click here for a list of ideas for donations

Lettuce Club Elects a New President

Lettuce Club

Lettuce Club. That's right.  Lettuce Club is a thing.  And each year, they must elect a new president.

They do so by seeing who can eat an entire head of lettuce the fastest.  The winner is the new president.

Yes.  This is real.  And real entertaining to watch.  Look it up online.

A good time was had by all and everyone ate their recommended serving of leafy green vegetables for the entire week.

Congrats to the new president of Lettuce Club: Narayan Wilder.

Scent Free Zone

This is a reminder that San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District policy, as set by the Board of Trustees, declares that we are a fragrant-neutral district. As we begin to have our drama performances and other site-based activities and meetings, please take care to follow the policies below for the sake of the students and members of our community who are highly allergic to fragrances and scents.

The SLVUSD Board of Trustees adopted a California School Board Association policy to make all district classrooms and offices fragrant neutral. SLVHS has parents, students, and community members with respiratory issues who can have negative reactions to fragrances. Please take care to follow the policy while on campus.

Staff and students shall refrain from bringing furred or feathered animals, stuffed toys that may collect dust mites, scented candles, incense or air fresheners and from using perfume or cologne, scented hair spray, nail polish or nail polish remover that are not fragrance-free in classrooms or other enclosed areas or buildings.
